Rules To Run By - Day 26

The best runs sometimes come on days when you didn’t feel like running.

  1. This is rarely true for me, I have to admit! But today, this was sort of true for me. After taking care of a puking toddler last night, and not having the MOST restful night, when my alarm went off at 5 today, I have to admit that the last thing I wanted to do was run 10 miles. I FORCED myself out of bed and into my running clothes. And I had a pretty good run. It wasn't "good" if good is defined by speed, of course. It was actually one of the slowest runs I've had yet. But it felt good. And I ran a distance I've never run before. And I had FUN. And that was good.
